Early school leaving is an important problem for Europe. As of 2011,with
the rate of early school leaving in Europe is 15%,the case is 44% in
Turkey. This Project will contribute to achieve the priorities set out in
the EU 2020 Strategy, which as one of its headline targets aims at
reducing school drop-out rates below 10 % by studying with common EU
countries.On the other hand,individuals who have high-awareness,will
contribute to the formation of consciousness in a society.According to
our Project, the positive results will be shared with partners by
examining studies on the prevention of early school leaving in Europe.
Taking all these datas and point of view into consideration,in this
project the students will be encouraged to think about their aims for
future and guided to develop their self-esteem and self-confident
through different creative activities. Parents will be integrated in
project activities which will strenghten the relation between
school, pupils and family. Through informative meetings with the
students and the parents, they will be informed about the benefits of
long-term education and the benefit of parents’ support to the
educational studies.Comparing the situations in their country and with
the other countries will provide increasing pupils’ awareness and their
points of view.Participants are going to be aware of getting a common
solution to the problem of early school leaving in different cultures,to
analyse the way of their life, cultures of the people in these countries
and the structure of institutions in Europe. Also,it’s going to be used
some activities such as;reportings, seminars and excursions to introduce
some occupations and to guide students to decide about their future
aims.So that the students can make decisions about their futures.
